The environment is top of mind for consumers and marketers alike, with the result that more and more companies are making significant efforts to conduct business in an environmentally responsible manner.

Their efforts span a wide range of activities, including having formal environmental policies, involvement in community environmental initiatives, using products that are sustainable, recycled or recyclable and adopting environmentally sound work processes.

  2. Is it designed to minimize waste?
  3. Can it be smaller, lighter or made from fewer materials?
  4. Is it designed to be durable or multi-functional?
  5. Does it use renewable resources?
  6. Is reuse practical and encouraged?
  7. Is the packaging refillable, recyclable or repairable?
  8. Is it made with post-consumer recycled or reclaimed materials?
  9. Are the materials available in a less toxic form?
  10. Are the materials from a socially and environmentally
    responsible local company?
